tape drawings

With some friends we made these tape drawings on one of the walls of our foundation year college (CCW) for the end of year exhibition. It was a lot of fun!

And this is the book I made for our foundation exam- I was inspired by the sculptures in the ice age art exhibition, in the British Museum. As I drew they seemed to become alive- so I went back to looking at the idea of spirits in objects-I read lots about all these Peoples who see things so differently from here- to some everything is alive, and I found that very beautiful. And now, drawings seem alive to me, and photos... so they are in this story. All breathing. Hope you like it :)

an energy

And this was my final piece for the project- a book because i wanted it to be physical like puppets are. But I used thin paper, to make it more fragile, like spirits. It is very simple, just black and white, I'd been looking at Yoko Ono's "Grapefruit' book, i think it inspired this. The dots come from her drawings but i used them because they look like an energy, spirit.
