"Animals and beasts" project

This was a difficult one- we were briefed to observe and draw other animals using colour and pattern. I hardly ever use colour so that was a challenge. The first drawings are from dead animals, which is why they are so finished. I used acrylic, and then pastel on top- scratching into the top layer to reveal the bottom one. The sketches are from living animals in Vauxhall farm and the fish in the Horniman museum. These were much harder because of the constant movement but also more interesting to do.
